Pehea i hewa ai
E hoʻomaopopo maoli i ka memo o Iesū e pili ana i ka mihi a me ke kūʻokoʻa e pono ai mākou e hele pololei i ka hoʻomakaʻana o ka Baibala o ke Akua i kēia lā.
Kaomi ma aneʻi e hoʻi i hiki iā mākou ke hana hewa?, paha ma luna o kekahi o ka 'ē aʻe kumuhana apau loa ma lalo:
ʻO ka hana mua eden
Hoʻi i ka hoʻomaka…
E hoʻomaopopo pono i ka mea nui o Iesu’ ʻōlelo e pili ana i ka mihi a me ke kūʻokoʻa e pono ai mākou e hoʻi i ka hoʻomaka ʻana o ka moʻolelo o ka Baibala i ka hana ʻana o ke Akua me ka lāhui kanaka. – I ka puke o Genenesis, i ka ʻoiaʻiʻo.
ʻO ka hana a Adamu
Ua maikaʻi loa ka honua mua’ (Gen 1:31): akā, he hihiu a he mea e pono ai (Gen 1:26-28). ʻO Adamu a me ka hana a Adamu e hoʻoponopono iā ia e like me nāʻelele o ke Akua. ʻAʻole naʻe lākou i mākaukau no kēia; No laila ua hoʻokomo ke Akua iā lākou i kahi palekana, Eden, ʻO ka Adam i hanaʻia no ka kanuʻana a me ka paleʻana (Gen 2:15).
Heʻelua mau lāʻau kūikawā. Hāʻawi ka lāʻau o ke ola iā Adamu a me Eva Health Health (Gen 3:22); a hiki iā lākou keʻai mai ia manawa a lākou e makemake ai (Gen 2:17-18). But the tree of knowledge of good and evil, was not there to eat: but to teach Adam how to love – by caring for the interests of others. Adam had to be free to choose whether to do this; because love is only love when it is voluntary.
Enter the Serpent
Now we get a master-class on temptation from the most devious con-artist of all time – the serpent (a.k.a. Satana), an implacable enemy of God. He had nothing of any worth to offer Adam and Eve. Instead he tricked them into a trade to acquire what they already had! Once he had successfully undermined their confidence in God’s goodness, their own natural desires did the rest.
ʻO nā'ōpala o kā mākou mau hewa
ʻO ka makana o ka huapalapala
What did the serpent gain from Adam’s sin?
- God had put Adam in charge of the earth. When Adam chose to follow Satan rather than God, he became Satan’s servant; and Satan became earth’s ruler.
- Satan was looking for an insurance policy and was aware of God’s affection for mankind. I kēia manawa, if God sought to judge Satan, he could claim that God would be unjust to spare humanity but not himself.
- Satan also knew that ‘death’ meant permanent separation from God. He thought that, Inā makemake ke Akua e kāpae i kēia hoʻopaʻi no Adam, he could demand an equivalent payment – either his own pardon or some infinite penalty of his choosing. He thought he had outsmarted God.
Hāʻule
Humans have the same kinds of natural needs and instincts as other animals. But we were made with the capacity to know God, reason, predict and make moral choices, overruling our natural responses when necessary. Ua hoʻolālāʻia mākou e ola i kahi pilina pili me ke Akua: No laila e hiki iā mākou ke huki i kona akamai a me kona ikaika a i kēlā me kēia manawa a pono mākou e pono ai. Keʻole o ia i loko o kā mākou ola a mākou e hoʻohuli ai i nā holoholona akamai o mākou’ - hiki iā ia ke aʻo a hana i nā mea kupaianaha: Akā hikiʻole ke hoʻokele pono i ko mākouʻano kūlohelohe pilikino pono'ī.
ʻOkiʻia mai ke alo o ke Akua, Ua makeʻo Adamu i ka make a, kino kino, ua pau mākou a pau. Akā inā he mea maikaʻiʻole nā tyrants hewa? ʻO ka make kino kino keʻano o ka hoʻopauʻana i ka pōʻino a hiki i ka hoʻolālāʻana o ke Akua.
ʻO kahi waihona o nā hemahema
Hiki ke hōʻiliʻiliʻia ka haʻawina o ka moʻolelo ma luna o ka mōʻaukala: Man, ma o kona ingenity hiki ke kāohi i keʻano: Akā hikiʻole iā ia ke lanakila i kona iho pono'ī. Hiki iā ia ke noho i ka Honua: aka, he mea nui ia e kona hewa a me ka hope o ke kau o ka maniping o ka maka o ke kanaka hoʻopunipuni e hiki mai ana iā ia i kēia manawa.
ʻO kā mākou hōʻai'ē makemakeʻole
Nui nā poʻe e manaʻo e hoʻokolokolo ke Akua i nā kānaka ma ke kaupaonaʻana i kā lākou mea maikaʻi’ nā hana kū'ē i kā lākou 'maikaʻiʻole’ nā mea. Akāʻo ka pilikiaʻo kou 'maikaʻi loa’ ʻaʻole ma mua o ke Akua i manaʻoʻia ma kahi mua; Pela, E pili ana i ka mea āu e hana ai, ʻO kēlā me kēia pauʻole e hoʻohui i kahi hōʻai'ē mauna e hikiʻole iāʻoe ke ukuʻole.
Kaomi ma aneʻi e hoʻi i hiki iā mākou ke hana hewa?, paha ma luna o kekahi o ka 'ē aʻe kumuhana apau loa ma lalo:
- Ka mea a Iesu i manao ai ia kakou
- Pehea i hewa ai
- Ka Papahana Nui a ke Akua
- ʻO ka hana maʻamau
- Pehea e hana ai keia?
- Ka Pono no ke koho mau
